Baby Food!

Yummy!

Mangos, butternut sqaush, carrots, and pears/apples.

I bought some little freezer containers to store it in. They are in the wash right now.

Felt Food

Here is some felt food I've been working on. I added an orange slice to the breakfast. I made a sack lunch - M&M cookie, chips, apple and bologna sandwich.
Here is the sandwich parts - pickles, lettuce, tomato, swiss cheese, cheddar cheese, bologna, bread, and mustard!

6 Months Old!

Johanna is 6 months old!
She weighs 15 lbs. 7 ounces - 50%
She is 25" inches - 25%

She is starting to rock on all fours and has really started making some new sounds. When she doesn't want to try any more solid foods or eat her bottle she gets REALLY vocal. She can also sit up by herself for a little while before she loses her balance and starts to lean.

Here are some photos and a video of her trying to get up on all fours.

Fun in Wichita!

Easter in Emporia

Felt Food Breakfast

Felt food is the cutest! I have found so many cute ideas to make little felt meals so I decided to try one. When I was little I LOVED to play kitchen and restaurant. Johanna is too young for these now but I bet she will want to start playing pretend when she is about a year or so. Then she will have some nice little play meals to serve mommy and daddy.

Here is a breakfast I made last night - bacon, eggs, and a pancake with syrup and a pat of butter.

5 Months Old!

Happy Anniversary - 4 Happy Years!!!
Again, this was Vince's idea. (No babies were harmed in the filming of this picture)
Feed me Daddy!
I don't know about this?!?!
My first taste of "solid" food.
Family love fest - where's Kujoe?
Daddy is dressing me in my Irish garb.
I can grab my feet!!!

Lots of changes for Miss Baby! She is now 5 months old and seems to be blossoming just like springtime.

She is now grabbing her feet and playing with them as well. She falls asleep much quicker than she used to and seems to enjoy bedtime and her crib. She smiles a hundred time a day, which in return makes me smile even more. She is also making more sounds - a gurgling sound, and an "mmm" sound. So cute!

On Tuesday, we gave her a taste of her first rice cereal. I used my finger as a spoon as recommended by a baby book. The first feeding didn't work too well. She wasn't too interested. However, last night was her third feeding and her first time in her high chair. She ate quite a bit (however, as Vince said, her chin was more hungry than her mouth) and was actually opening her mouth for her spoon. It didn't seem to help her sleep any longer - she still woke up at 4 a.m. hungry. I didn't give her any formula though. I just can't seem to keep up in the breastmilk department.

Anyhoo, here are some recent pictures!
