New Toys!

Johanna had fun playing with her box of diapers. She was SO CUTE pushing it around the living room. I think that is a sign that she is getting closer to walking. She is also so funny because almost every time I point the camera at her and she sees the red light she starts to ham it up and gets an instant smile on her face. It's almost like she knows she needs to put on her cutest face for the camera.

Johanna really enjoyed crawling through her pillow tunnel! She is going to love forts made out of sheets and chairs like Vince and I both did when we were little.

That's Hilarious!

Vince was trying to swat flies with a dish towels and Johanna thought it was so hilarious!

Saying Bye Bye, Blowing Tongue Raspberries and Eating

Nine months and counting!

Ha! They have the same expression!

Johanna is now a well seasoned nine month old. She still enjoys all the old favorites - dancing, reading books and torturing Kujoe - but now her new favorite pastime is eating finger foods. This baby can EAT!

Let me just say that Kujoe is starting to enjoy having Johanna around a little more - now that she drops food all over the floor.

She has started petting and interacting with her touch and feel books and also enjoys turning the pages back and forth. She likes to climb on the ladder shelves we have, which we try to keep her away from. Yesterday she really liked dive bombing my big toe to try to eat it. She also was on crazy baby status because she thought it was funny to pull my hair, grab my glasses, etc. She has been teething the past few days and I noticed a new upper tooth has popped through. Mabye that explains the crazy baby tendencies.

Today she is rather sleepy. I hope she is not getting sick. She would not go to sleep in her Pack and Play at the luau we went to on Saturday. She ended up not falling asleep until the car ride home at midnight. Poor thing. Mommy and Daddy had fun and we are pretty sure Johanna did too because there were TONS of babies and kids there to play with.

Emmy has been babysitting some and getting to hang out with Miss Baby. Also, last week Grandma Jane was here almost a whole week taking care of Miss Baby and Miss Shelley, who had carpal tunnel surgery on her right wrist. Grandma made some cool bibs for Johanna and also helped out immensely!!! Now mommy is back to the old grind and has her bandages off.

We are getting excited to move into a house in Brookside but not looking forward to the actual moving part. We just keep praying that everything works out OK.

That's all for now! Have a great day and remember that when you are feeling down, Johanna can always bring a smile to your face.
