Brookside St. Patrick's Warmup Parade

Johanna had fun at her third St. Patty's Parade. However, a leprechaun at the start of the parade REALLY freaked her out and then every mascot and character thereafter also gave her a fright.

If you ask her about the parade she will say, "I got scared." But, I know she still had a good time for the most part.

Daddy and Johanna tackle the snow

On the first night of our FIRST blizzard, when snow was still fun, Vince took Johanna sledding at St. Teresa's. Suicide Hill was way to crazy but Johanna had a blast. Vince wanted to document his first sledding adventure with his daughter. I don't know who was more excited!

Christmas in Emporia

In Emporia, Johanna texts Santa her very last minute gift requests.
I guess her texts got through just in time.
Actually, can you even spot Johanna amidst all the colorful packages? There she is opening her Elmo slippers from Grandpa.
Andy is posing as Santa but without a fat belly and a beard, we are wise to his rouse.
Mom and Dad pose for a super cute picture.
Bob and Vince are excited as well!
Emily gives us her famous thumbs up, but is really hiding her annoyance at always having to be the gift elf, since she is the youngest.
Johanna takes a moment to ride KuJoe. Kujoe's face says it all.
In this picture it looks like I am drinking wine. Don't be fooled - I am preggo and that is Emily's hand.
Yay! Polish pottery. Don't I look Polish in this picture?
By the end of the night, we couldn't find Pete because he was covered in bows. He didn't seem to mind.
The next day, Johanna shows off her post-holiday belly to show how many sugar cookies she ate the night before. Not as many as Mommy, though!
Super cute Dad and Daughter!

Christmas sure tires you out.

Christmas in Girard - It's only March!

Well, it's only been a few months since Christmas and also since I last updated the baby blog. I think it's time to get back into the swing of things! Here are some fun memories from Christmas 2010 in Girard!

Grandma Kathie tickles little Johanna.
We enjoy a nice family game of "Imaginiff" with Kujoe as the main and center attraction. Johanna kept knocking our pieces off the game board so I'm not exactly sure who actually won.
Vince is a good sport and lets Johanna feed him so yummy pretend baby mush.
On Christmas Eve, Johanna is so excited to see her new beautiful quilt made by Grandma Kathie. It will be for her big girl bed!
She loves it!
On Christmas Dad, Fr. Larry stokes the fire with a ancient flame thrower from World War II. Watch out!
While the steaks are cooking, we all pose for some fun and silly family photos.
Poppa Larry can always make Johanna giggle.
J sure is a mommy's girl, through and through.
Daddy's love to hang their kids upside down for some reason.
This is a picture of Vince and I, with Kujoe making an appearance. Also, if you look close enough you will see that I have a certain glow about me. Here I am secretly 6 weeks pregnant. And tired.

As always, we had a wonderful Christmas with our Carney family!
